Latisse solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker. Ask your doctor if Latisse is right for you.

LASER TREATMENTS

Various lasers are used to remove tattoos, facial and leg veins, age spots, some red birthmarks, cherry moles and hemangiomas. A physician consultation is needed for evaluation before treatment.

LASER HAIR REDUCTION
|
|
|
|
Laser Hair Reduction offers a long term reduction process, where hair follicles are damaged by use of a laser. It will take an average of three to six treatments to obtain the desired results. Results may vary from lighter, thinner hair growth to (under the best conditions) loss of hair in the treated area. Patients need to understand that this procedure is a hair reduction procedure. Generally the average candidate can expect a 70-80% reduction in hair growth. Your success rate may depend on many factors.

SOFT TISSUE AUGMENTATION

Cosmoderm -
These injections are offered for the treatment of fine lines (especially vertical lines around the mouth) and some types of acne scars. It does not require allergy testing, as older collagen products have in the past.
Restylane injections -
Restylane is the “latest and greatest” option for filling wrinkles and folds. It is a gel that is injected into the skin to add volume and lift up wrinkles and folds. Other dermal fillers are animal substances. Restylane is a non-animal Hyaluronic acid product. Areas commonly treated are glabellar lines, nasolabial folds (around the nose) and lip enhancements.

BOTOX

|
Botox is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, crow’s feet and horizontal forehead lines. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

SCLEROTHERAPY
|
|
|
|
Dilated veins (not varicose) on the legs may be treated for cosmetic reasons. At North Georgia Dermatology, a concentrated saline solution is used to cause collapse of the veins.

DESTRUCTION OR REMOVAL OF LESIONS FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES

Patients can develop lesions that are not dangerous medically, but may be undesirable. These lesions can be destroyed or removed for cosmetic reasons. Upon evaluation, your physician will discuss the options for treatment of these lesions.

ELECTROCAUTERY OF TELANGIECTASES

Veins on the face may become dilated from sun exposure or various medical conditions. In select cases, these may respond to treatment with an electric needle. Your physician can evaluate you to determine if this procedure would benefit you.
